Brewed with 100% British ingredients

From the famous Fuller’s Griffin Brewery comes a new British lager. Drawing on our brewing expertise, we’ve created Fuller’s Pride Lager, crafted with simple, high‑quality British ingredients and to support British farming. A refreshing and crisp lager made for you to enjoy with family and friends.

Hops are what give Pride Lager its aroma and bitterness. We use two British‑grown varieties: Target and Opus. Target is a classic hop, earthy, herbal and proudly English, first released back in 1972. It’s the same hop we use in our award‑winning beers like London Pride and ESB, so it’s very much part of our brewing DNA. Opus brings something brighter to the mix. It’s a newer hop, released in 2016, and adds gentle citrus notes that lift the flavour and keep Pride Lager tasting fresh.

There are only around 45 hop farmers left in the UK, and Target, one of the main hops in Pride Lager, is grown by just four of them. One of those farms who supply our Target hops is Instone Court based in Herefordshire. Run by Simon and Lenny Parker, whose family has been growing hops for around 130 years. They’re passionate about keeping British hop-growing alive, and their work helps shape the flavour of every pint of Pride Lager.

Malt is what gives Pride Lager its body, colour and those gentle biscuit‑like notes that make it so easy to drink. We use a blend of pale ale and light pale ale malt from Boortmalt in Bury St Edmunds grown in the fields of Cambridgeshire and Norfolk. We also add Caragold malt from French & Jupps near Hertford, a maltster we’ve been buying from since 1870. That’s over 150 years, all recorded in our old brewing ledgers, proof we’ve had plenty of practice when it comes to making good beer.

Since January 2026 we have been working with Boortmalt to invest in sustainable barley farming, supporting the adoption of regenerative agriculture practices on British barley farms.

Yeast is an important ingredient in Pride Lager, and it’s responsible for the fermentation that creates the beer’s alcohol, natural carbonation and flavour profile. The yeast we use is known for producing a clean, balanced taste exactly the smooth, easy‑drinking character we wanted to have.

It takes 7 days for the yeast to fully ferment Pride Lager. After that, the beer is left to mature for 14 days, giving it time to settle, smooth out and develop its final crisp finish.

Water might be the simplest ingredient in Pride Lager, but it’s the one that gives every sip its clean, easy‑drinking character. It’s the quiet foundation that lets the hops, malt and yeast shine.

90% of Pride Lager is made up of water.
